Albert had been living in isolation before he was referred to BlindAid, but we were there to make sure that his birthday was celebrated.
From a small gesture like remembering a birthday, to life changing interventions: you can help us make a genuine difference.
With your donations, we can continue to provide practical and emotional support to people in vital need.
We are an independent charity and receive absolutely no government or local authority funding – our services rely on voluntary donations and gifts in wills.

COVID-19 is shining a light on isolation and loneliness; for blind and visually impaired people it presents even greater hardships.
BlindAid has provided support for our hidden community of service users for 185 years – throughout many other traumatic times in London’s history. We will continue to support our service users through COVID-19, just as our charity has in times gone by. We are ensuring our people hear a familiar, trusted voice regularly and are getting the support they need now.
BlindAid has been making a difference as London’s oldest sight loss charity for many years – please help us now by making a donation.
